Spend your money somewhere else. Kenmore refrigerator malfunctioned after 5 months. The part is on backorder with NO RESTOCK DATE from the manufacturer. Yet, Sears wants me to wait 30 days to be able to submit a ticket for a replacement. This policy does not work for anyone especially families with young children. The phone support barely speaks English and is indifferent to your problem. Very disappointing experience.
Their "Marketplace Guaranteed" is a scam. False advertising. I've been having issues with a seller of theirs who promises a warranty on their products but expects the customer to pay return shipping and to send the item back, meanwhile doesn't acknowledge any concerns brought to their attention. When I contacted Sears to express my frustration with the seller, they did nothing to resolve the issue rather just complicated things more. Subpar customer service at best. If you're thinking about shopping here, look elsewhere

We purchased a Kenmore over-the-range microwave. It didn't last 3 years before it kept shorting out, after it was out of warranty. It was repaired once (a blown fuse) but then a few weeks later, shorted out again. It would be neary $700 to repair it. So, we bought another brand at another store, but that didn't fit. So, went back to Sears.com to get a new version of the previous one. Bought on a Tuesday, was promised delivery/installation on a Thursday, that day came and went with no call and no delivery/install, and when I called, they said it would be at least two business days before they could call with a new estimated delivery date. It's no wonder this pathetic outfit is going out of business. Customer Service is outsourced to India, with no option to reach a U.S. supervisor or escalate the horrible service. AVOID!
I was happy to find out Sears had an online service! I had been a long time Kenmore appliance user. Until now trying to purchase on the website is ridiculous! The staff has No Clue as to how to assist the consumer only with excuses. Not sure where this company is going. Terrible, Not Happy
Sears constantly lies about delivery dates and makes promise after promise, then cancels delivery the same day of delivery after they have confirmed several times by email, automated phone call and text message that the delivery is about to happen. Our money has been held hostage for months with no remediation.
i'm not sure if it is incompetence or bad information systems or if this is intentional policy to lie to customers, but don't trust Sears with your money or time.
If you are looking for a new lawn mower, whatever you do... and this is excellent advice from experience... DON'T BUY FROM LOWES! Sears are gone I understand, and good riddance! I bought a $239 mower and it had a few issues right away... the bagger didn't ride well and became entangled and useless, and then the spark plug required replacement a few months later. The store (Lowes) replaced the bagger, thankfully, and I just bought a plug and gapped it (it had NOT been properly gapped from the factory!) However, when the starter rope broke, that was a 'wear in use' item I read from the warranty, and I just purchased a new one. Actually, the tiny plastic part that was holding the recoil wheel in place BROKE! Sears designers LOVE plastic parts or cheap metal in their products!
Anyway, then the front wheels seized up! They just wouldn't turn! I have owned 3 mowers, including a Lawn Boy (maintained properly of course) for over 33 years, and never had an issue (other then wearing several out) with a wheel! The Craftsman was less than a year old when the first front wheel seized, and I was able to get it to finally turn and work for a time. However, then the right front just SEIZED! Turns out the metal sleeves inside each wheel will BOND to the front 'axle shaft' (or whatever you want to call it) and they WILL NOT TURN!
After 3 hours of working on this Craftsman mower, which is still under the 2 year 'warranty' that comes with it, it still has these same issues! Now the front wheels will NOT stay up, as the lever that holds the height adjust in place is not tensioned properly! A lot of time adjusting it and trying to make it work has proved only somewhat successful! You can't make a piece of c__p work when that is all you have to work with!
I am attempting to get another front shaft-axle now, and contacted Sears... but was told because I wouldn't drive 90 minutes to their service center and agreed to do the labor myself, the WARRANTY WAS NOW VOIDED! They actually noted this, though my warranty does technically end next month!
Their service is worth little to nothing in any event, and while I never owned a Sears appliance (nor would accept one from a builder!) their garden gear and equipment is about as bottom-shelf a it could get!
Let the buyer beware... if this saves a person or two from buying a Craftsman mower from Lowes or anywhere else (especially used!) you will thank me later! It is no wonder that Sears has dissolved... this really is a positive for the American public!
Don’t buy Sears appliance, this company do bad business.The staff are liars especially the supervisor Joyce. My appliance was rescheduled twice. The second time,I wasn’t contact about the reschedule. Services person show up at your door with no appointment.This company need to be shut down.My rating for Sears is zero.
Horrible been waiting 7 months for a delivery of my new range, call 1000 times gotten nowhere INSANE
Horrible. I would NEVER order from Sears again. I bought a refrigerator, they threw away the handles and they just kept telling me there was nothing they could do. Horrible customer service during the process. Order from somewhere else.
Craftsman is crap. First Sears sent me to Craftsman, then Craftsman sent me back to Sears. DO NOT think for a minute that the warranty means anything. It doesn't. Just means you get bounced around a bunch. What a f..kin' joke!
How can lies and incompetence be constructive? Do not trust sears. We had a gas range delivered, it was supposed to be installed by their gas people. The appointment was for a saturday. The stove was delivered but they couldn't remove the old stove because they were not gas trained. Talked to the delivery people who were going to have the installers call us in 20 mins. Four hrs later we started calling. Told the gas installers don't work on Sats; but they will call us. They are totally incompetent and unbelievable.
I will NEVER Order from Sears again. It has been 6 months and I still haven't gotten my Refrigerator. They call and say it will be here the next day and it never comes. No phone call or NOTHING. I have done nothing but wait for these people to get there act together. NEVER AGAIN... S. Mason
Would NEVER order from Sears again!!!!! Ordered a Kenmore dryer on March 22 have had 4 delivery dates scheduled, received calls every time the night before to give me my 2 hour window, I took off work each time to be there and each time, no show & no call. I had even called after getting my 2 hour window to double check that they were definitely coming. Each time I was promised the dryer had been delivered & arrived in their warehouse & I will be getting it. One time they even lied when I called to see where they were, they told me it wasn’t delivered because it was damaged while delivering it. HORRIBLE service!!!!!
"I bought a new garage door opener (Chamberlain) from Sears Online, they contract out to a (3rd party) installation, I paid $130 for install directly to Sears Online, the company is not qualified to install this brand, they never gave me a refund as services were not rendered. Stay away. I will never use them again, plus there call center in Asia is so unorganized, and there phone staff has a extremely low IQ and not trained properly."
